Goodbye 2022!
Hi there friend,
It’s that time of year. You are about to close the door to 2022 and open a new, mysterious door to 2023.
But before you do that, I wanted to check in and see what that means to you.
I am wondering a few things…
What's your biggest take away?
What do you know now that you didn’t at this time last year? How are you going to use that information to create the year ahead?
It’s so easy to just jump on into the next year without looking back, but I’m here to warn you, if you do, you’ll be missing out on heaps of information!
Throughout this past year you’ve done a ton!
There’s been big wins, mistakes of all shapes and sizes, sweet unexpected moments, losses that are deeply missed and losses that brought relief, pauses that gave you time to hear a deeper knowing, lessons that catapulted your growth and understanding of yourself and others, “aha moments” when things looked so clear, times where you literally felt like your feet were stuck in the deepest muck you didn’t know if you would ever be able to move forward again, ideas and dreams realized and SO MUCH MORE!
Let’s do a little something…
Stop, take a minute. Put both your feet on the ground, lay your hands on your lap, close your eyes and breathe….bring your inhale deep into your belly, let it fill completely and then let out a big open mouth exhale.
Do this 3 more times.
Keeping your eyes closed, let the memories of this past year fill your mind. Take a mental inventory, documenting the moments that are coming up. Spend 3-5 minutes letting them just flow in and out, paying attention to the emotions connected to each scene.
Slowly bring yourself back to the present, connecting back with the room around you, then opening your eyes.
If you are able, journal for a bit about your experience. Here are a few questions to use as prompts-
What made these memories stand out?
What have they taught you?
What would you have done differently knowing what you know now?
What are you most grateful for?
What do you wish you had had more of?
Less of?
What is your biggest regret?
What was your biggest accomplishment?
Who can you thank for supporting you?
THIS is the stuff, when considered deeply, will bring intention, clarity, purpose, expansion, and wisdom to your upcoming year.
One of the hardest things for me to hear is when people talk like they don’t have a choice or have any control over their life. I truly feel heartbroken witnessing their perceived powerlessness.
We are all powerful, resourceful and capable of so much more than we will ever know!
But as long as we keep telling the same story, that’s the only story we will create.
You get to write your new narrative friend! A fresh blank piece of paper is before you. Use all the information you can glean from these past 12 months and start to deliberately create the year ahead.
Don’t hold back. Picture it as big and as amazing as you can dream it! Step into your future more prepared, intentional and grateful for a chance to make the life you have even better!
And as always, if having support and guidance through this process is what you need, I'd be honored to be your coach!
Wishing you a year ahead filled with all that brings you joy, love and peace.
Love & Light,
Victoria
